Springtime tones with the Trimont Snood

29 September 2020 No Comments

The October winds have arrived early to Waihi Beach this year, and the Trimont Snood (which is really a capelet/shawl//hood/scarf all in one) has been the perfect throw on and off piece as we’ve been out and about.

Jayne’s talented daughter Emily made the Blue Sky Fibers pattern in gorgeous Wild Thyme (pictured) but we can confirm it’s been Jayne’s favourite to wear ever since! The Woolstok Worsted 50 yarn is a very lightweight 10 ply, and it’s truly a delight to work with because as light as the yarn is, the colours are vibrant and alongside their delicious names, offer a slight melange that adds depth to the finished garment.

An advanced beginner pattern, the moss stitch adds texture to the otherwise simple circular knitting. The only tricky part is whether you’ll want to choose the springtime tones of Golden Meadow and Earth Ivy, or keep it classic with Dark Chocolate, Mossy Green, Rusted Roof or Pressed Grapes.

Knit Kits are now available on our website here.
